Sherman Potter, whose famous ‘thumb’ painting inspired this entry, reminds me of him in so many ways. “I have always enjoyed the birds at the feeders outside our kitchen window. The cardinals, with their brilliant scarlet color, are fascinating. They seem to be bold yet hesitant when approaching the feeder.
