Karen Heram-Rice Lake
A Watchful Eye
Karen always has something in the works with colored pencil, watercolor
or a craft project. A Watchful Eye is in honor of the military serving our
country. My daughter will be in Iraq as this banner is displayed on Main
Street. |

Lily Lorenz-Roseville, MN
American Pie
I am a 13-year-old 8th grader who loves horses and the color pink. I
also love summer and my Grandma's pies! I've watched my Uncle Dave
participate in ArtScape on Main and I thought it would be fun to create a
summer scene during the cold winter days.

Judith A. Markgren-Rice Lake
Cipher
As a new art teacher I was shown a film called Cipher in the Snow. It
was a heads up awareness of children with low self-esteem and,
consequently, were treated with disrespect by their family and others. It
has haunted me all these years and he just appeared on my canvas. |

Joan Masyga-Cumberland
Harbingers of Spring
Joan has been painting since she first picked up a brush in 1954.
Spring is my favorite season when nature awakens after a long sleep to
start anew. Painting has taught me to stop, notice and appreciate the
beauty of creation. |
