Holiday Parade Information
Rice Lake Main Street Association's 18th Annual Holiday
Parade
Presented by WJMC , WAQE, WKFX, Chronotype & Early Bird
Parade Theme: "Cartoon Christmas"
Date: Thursday, December 3, 2009
Times: Line-up at 5:00 p.m.
Parade at 6:30 p.m.
Rules and requests:
- Every parade entry must be illuminated
- No entry may have a Santa Claus (The "real" Santa will arrive, with his
reindeer, at the end of the Parade. Please don't confuse the kids.)
- Decorations should be completed before entering line-up area.
- Throwing Candy or other items will disqualify your entry! Items must be
handed out along the sidewalk only!
- Holiday music is encouraged
- Entry deadline is November 12, 2009
- Line-up location map will be sent to you before Thanksgiving.

IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
You must reserve a spot to be in the parade line-up!
Entries are limited. Please return a completed entry form ASAP

RULES & REQUESTS:
- Every parade entry must be illuminated

- Assigned parade line-up position and arrival time slot sent before
Thanksgiving
LINEUP AREA
- ABSOLUTELY no other vehicles will be allowed to enter the line-up area
- Entries with multiple riders or walkers should meet at a remote location
and carpool to drop off kids/riders/walkers
- Park in your spot and stay with your entry!!
- Decorating must be completed BEFORE you enter the line-up area
- Your driver must present a COMPLETED 3x5-commentary card at check- in, if
you want script to be read by the emcee.
OTHER ITEMS TO NOTE
- Main Street closed from Water Street to Messenger Street from 5:00 PM
until the parade is over.
- YOU must designate someone to meet children and escort them to their
position in the lineup (we can not be responsible for this!)
- Each entry position will be marked with an orange traffic cone and number
- Parade route runs north on Main Street from Messenger to Douglas Street
- Parade starts at 6:30 PM
- Turn right on Douglas Street to exit the parade route. PLEASE DO NOT drop
off kids at any location along the parade route on Main Street!
- Please give your windshield entry number (distributed at check-in) to a
worker in an orange or green vest when exiting the parade route.
- Dismantle entry on Douglas Street and exit the area along Lakeshore Drive
